Local Partnerships and Community Impact
Jr. Leadership Casper
Students entering the 9th and 10th grade students share a week-long curriculum of structured leadership activities. Participants work at age-appropriate levels to improve self-confidence, communication skills, relationship skills, and leadership while learning about community resources and exploring career paths. Session topics include: Being Your Best Self, Giving of Yourself, Leading with Your Heart, and Being an Agent of Change.
Be Entrepreneurial
11th and 12th grade students learn the elements of successful business start-up. Content covers market and needs analysis, idea development, evaluating competitive advantages, and creating a business plan. Students present their start-up ideas to a local “Shark Tank” and finalists have the opportunity to launch their businesses. Developed in conjunction with Junior Achievement, the Wyoming Business and Technology Center, and the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce.
Military Appreciation Day
A free-to-the-public event that supports currently serving military, veterans, and their families. Event includes live music, food trucks, ROTC flag presentation, pinning ceremony, and twenty booths highlighting community veterans services. Blood drive the week prior, connecting to a “pint for pint” campaign with local ice cream shop and brewery. Donations for care packages collected the week prior and assembled at the event.
United We Elevate
Created and managed in partnership with United Way, this program provides a series of events and development resources available to local community non-profit organizations. Topics include setting an effective vision and aligning your efforts to it, attracting the right board members and volunteers, managing people and teams, and other programs common in the for-profit world.
Local Mini Conferences
An ongoing series of professional development events that eliminate the need for costly travel expenses. Topics are generated in conversation with local business owners, managers, and employees. Rather than pre-determined training content, the events focus on building a local community of professionals facing similar issues, challenges, and opportunities.
Leadership Casper
A year-long program designed In partnership with the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce. Leadership Casper helps both emerging and established leaders improve their skills, knowledge, and community involvement. Monthly professional development sessions align with local site visits, tours and interactive programs. Team building exercises and personality assessments round out the program.
